Private wingfoil lesson in Marsala

If people were as constant as the Stagnone wind, we would live in a much simpler world. Here, however, at least you have one certainty: every day is good for flying on water with wingfoil!

In this 1-hour private lesson, you'll discover how to handle sail and board in total safety, followed step by step by a dedicated instructor.

Flat water, shallow waters and plenty of freedom: the Marsala lagoon is the right place to start flying on water!

What we will do

The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Marsala (TP). There you will find your instructor waiting for you, who will accompany you throughout the private lesson, remaining in the water with you at all times.

The first part of the experience will take place on land. You will learn how to recognise and assemble the equipment, consisting of a board with foil and wing (the sail), and begin to get familiar with its handling. The instructor will show you how to grip the sail correctly, maintain balance and coordinate movements smoothly. Part of the time will also be devoted to self-rescue exercises to ensure your safety. This part will last approximately 30 minutes.

After that, it will be time to enter the water. You will take advantage of the shallow water and flat water of the Stagnone, perfect for focusing on uncomplicated technique. Here you will put into practice what you have learned: posture, starting, tacking, wind management, foil and wing control. Everything will be done gradually, at your own pace and with a totally personalised approach.

During the course of the lesson, you will also be guided through some fundamental theoretical concepts: how the foil works, what are the ideal conditions for going out safely, how to recognise and interpret the wind.

The lesson will end with a short debriefing on the beach, where you will take stock of what you have learnt and what you want to achieve next.

The lesson will last 1 hour in total.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for 12 years and over. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult on site or have a signed release form.

It is not necessary to know how to swim, but good aquatics skills are required.

Other information

The experience is available from March to October, subject to weather and sea conditions.

Please note! Thetime of the activity may vary depending on weather conditions at the organiser's discretion.

A changing room with toilet and shower facilities is available on site. Any personal belongings can be stored in a secure common storage room.

Any accompanying persons can wait on the beach where the activity takes place.

There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
