Climb aboard an off-road vehicle and set off to discover the nuraghi of south-western Sardinia, in the area of Chia and Domus de Maria.
An experienced guide will take you on a journey through history and nature, during which you will learn all the secrets of these ancient stone constructions immersed in the Mediterranean maquis.
This private tour will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in authentic Sardinian tradition and the flavours of this land with the typical snack 'sa picchettada', with the best of local products.
What we will do
We will meet in Chia, a hamlet of the municipality of Domus de Maria (SU). After getting to know the guide and boarding the off-road vehicle, we will set off on our tour of the nuraghi.
These ancient stone constructions dating back to 1,500 B.C. are unique and widespread throughout Sardinia. There are thousands of them all over the island and since 1997 they have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The guide will take us to visit the nuraghi in the Domus de Maria area, including the Baccu Idda, the Sa Perdaia, the Nuraghe Orbais and many others.
The tour will be enriched with lots of historical, cultural and naturalistic information, and at the end we will also discover the flavours of the area by tasting the typical Sardinian snack 'sa picchettada', a chopping board with a selection of local products.
The activity will last a total of four hours and will end with the return to the starting point.

This activity can be carried out all year round and is reserved for private groups of a maximum of five people.
The tour takes place even in the event of rain, with the exception of particularly bad weather conditions.
For those living in the Chia area, it is possible to request a pick-up and drop-off service free of charge. Otherwise, you will meet directly at the meeting point.
Subject to the guide's availability, it is possible to agree on a different departure time.
