Get ready for an adventure that will leave you breathless! With theprivate speleological excursion to the Equi Caves, you will have an exclusive visit to a place of incredible charm.
The Geo-Archeo-Adventure Park of the Equi C aves is a site of exceptional naturalistic and geological interest , and you can visit it with your group.
Equi Terme is a splendid village-community, in the northern heart of the Apuan Alps Regional Park-Global Geopark Unesco. Its caves are world-famous for their very large formations, shafts and peculiar colourations.

What we will do
We will meet in Equi Terme, where we will meet the guide. We will then have a briefing of about 30 minutes on the route and the use of the equipment, and we will be ready to set off.
At the start, we will approach some karstic caves modelled over millions of years by the action of water, which, penetrating the fractures in the limestone, has formed wells, tunnels and underground lakes.
From here, guided by the expert, we will begin the caving route (total length 350 m) between via ferratas, Tibetan bridges in the beautiful dark caves, illuminated only by the light of our head torch. Along the approx. 2.5-hour route, we will be able to admire very large limestone formations, shafts and peculiar colourations, which are only visible on this excursion.
A unique route of its kind in Italy, which will allow us to put on the shoes of a real speleologist with harness and lanyard for an anti-fall system, helmet with frontal light and gloves. The excursion will last 3 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone over the age of 10. You must be at least 140 cm tall and weigh between 20 kg and 120 kg.
No special skills are required, as long as you are in good physical and mental shape and have no heart problems or other illnesses that could limit your abilities. The activity is forbidden for pregnant women and strongly discouraged for those suffering from vertigo or claustrophobia.
Minors must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Other information
The activity takes place all year round, weather permitting. In fact, there is a karstic spring at the entrance to the cave which, in the event of a flood, makes the activity unfeasible.
The temperature inside the cave is stable at around 10 degrees. It is therefore recommended to bring a sweatshirt or jacket, even during the summer period.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
