This story begins way back in the 1400s.
And it continues today, with your participation in our wine experience in the province of Rieti. In the company of an expert sommelier, you will visit the historic wine cellar and taste the best house labels.
A 2-hour experience, between tradition and modernity!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Castelfranco (RI) . The experience takes place at Cantina Le Macchie, in the hills of Monte Terminillo.
On site, we will meet the sommelier who will accompany us on a discovery of this winery. Having gathered all the participants, the experience will begin with a guided tour of the historic wine cellar: we will walk through the recently renovated basement, encountering remains of the vats in which grapes were crushed and fermented as far back as the 1400s. We will then visit the contemporary production area. Along the way we will learn more about the history of the area, the winery and wine production.
Finally, we will take a seat in the tasting room: we will taste four house wines accompanied by a sampling of local cured meats. The tasting will be enriched by the sommelier's narration, to enhance each sip.
The experience lasts a total of around 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended from the age of 18. Minors are admitted without age limit and participate free of charge provided they are accompanied by an adult participant.
The wine tasting is reserved for adult participants only.
The facility is wheelchair-accessible.

The experience takes place all year round.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
