Full description

It's never too late to change your life and... become a winegrower!

Join the Casale Mattia team, in the Frascati wine territory: you will take part in a vine pruning lesson, visit the winery and taste the best house labels accompanied by typical products.

A 3-hour experience, from vine to goblet!

What we will do

The appointment is at the selected time at Casale Mattia in Monte Compatri (RM). We will be welcomed by our guide, a member of the Rotelli-De Sanctis family, who will accompany us on a discovery of this wine-growing reality a short distance from the capital.

Once all the participants have gathered, our transformation into winemakers for a day can begin! The experience will begin outside with a vine pruning lesson: the guide will show us pruning techniques that we will then put into practice in our turn, contributing to the development of the vine. The guide will also tell us anecdotes about cultivation techniques, right up to the harvest.

We will then move inside for a visit to the cellar: we will learn more about vinification in steel and finally discover the difference between DOC, DOCG, IGT and DOP designations. We will then reach the room that will welcome us for the tasting: the guide will serve and describe 3 glasses of house wine such as white, red, sparkling or dessert wine. The toast will be accompanied by bread topped with homemade olive oil and locally produced products such as cold meats, cheeses with honey, vegetables and baked goods depending on the availability of the day.

The experience will last a total of 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.

Wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. Underage participants and paying abstemious persons will be served typical products accompanied by water or a non-alcoholic drink: contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to communicate your non-alcoholic preference.

The facility is accessible by wheelchair and/or pram.
