Full description
Start the engine, grab the handlebars and get ready to discover the Gran Sasso from a brand new perspective!
During this quad bike tour, you will drive from Santo Stefano di Sessanio through dirt tracks, woods and medieval villages, until you reach the famous Rocca di Calascio.
A guided tour of 1 hour and 15 minutes in which you will not miss stops to admire the landscape and take unforgettable photos!
What we will do
Theappointment is at theselected time at the meeting point in Santo Stefano di Sessanio (AQ), where we will find the guide to welcome us.
Once all participants have gathered and put on their helmets, we will listen to a 15-minute briefing on the quad bike, after which we will proceed with a test drive on the first section of the route. Once the engines are warmed up, we will be ready to go!
We will drive from the centre of Santo Stefano di Sessanio on an initial stretch of provincial road, after which we will take a dirt road on the plain until we plunge into the forest. After a few kilometres, we will reach the medieval village of Calstelvecchio Calvisio along a stretch of asphalt road again.
The next stage will be the town of Calascio, where we will stop for a short scenic stop. From here, we will proceed in the direction of the famous Rocca di Calascio, the famous castle that dominates the southern slope of the Gran Sasso.
We will finally return to the meeting point, after driving for about 1 hour and 15 minutes and having covered 26 km.
The total duration of the activity is about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 18 years old and have a B licence. The passenger must be at least 12 years old.
A maximum weight of 160 kg between driver and passenger is required to participate.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first time quad rider.
Other information
The excursion is available from April to November.
During the tour, driver and passenger can swap driving, provided they both meet the requirements.
The organiser has 4 quads available that can carry 1 driver + 1 passenger for a total of 8 participants.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
