Full description
Did you know that there is a lake in the centre of Sicily? Hop on a quad bike and get ready to discover it!
This one-hour excursion will take you along scenic dirt tracks around Lake Pozzillo, the largest reservoir on the island.
Discover many interesting facts about this unusual place together with a local guide and have fun at the wheel of a powerful off-road vehicle!
What we will do
The meeting point will be in Regalbuto (EN), 15 minutes before the indicated time.
Here we will meet our guide, who will first hand us our helmets and vehicles for the excursion. This will be followed by a 10-15 minute briefing, in which the guide will explain to us how to drive the quad bike safely and the rules to be followed during the trip. Before setting off, we will also do a few practice runs to get our confidence behind the wheel!
Once we have mastered our quads, we will begin a scenic ride along the shores of Lake Pozzillo. The route will be almost entirely on dirt tracks, offering magnificent views of this man-made lake. The first part will be relatively easy, while the second part will have some more technical passages, to raise the adrenaline level.
While driving, we will have the opportunity to observe the local flora and fauna and, with a bit of luck, we may spot some of the animals that inhabit this protected area. Stops near the water will give us the opportunity to take some souvenir photos with the lake in the background.
The sensations we will experience will be unique, between the scent of the eucalyptus trees, the dust on the path and the wind caressing our faces. At the end of our adventure, after covering about 10 km, we will return to our starting point.
The activity will last an hour in total.
Who it is aimed at
The driver of the quad bike must be over 18 years of age and hold a B licence.
The minimum age for passengers is 7 years.
The sum of driver and passenger weights may not exceed 170 kg.
Other information
The tour runs all year round on weekends and public holidays and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 booked quads .
The centre has 5 quads, for a total of 10 participants. Driver and passenger can swap behind the wheel if both meet the requirements: to do so, they must inform the guide in advance, who will point out the most suitable points on the route to make the change.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; free parking is available on site.
