Full description
Visit the Alcantara Gorge region on a quad bike and be amazed by the stupendous landscapes that can be admired from the slopes of Montagna Grande, where your gaze sweeps from the Ionian Sea to the Tyrrhenian Sea, as far as MountEtna and theAspromonte of Calabria.
On board the 4-wheel vehicle, you will travel along nature trails and immerse yourself in the heart of the Alcantara River Park, discovering the great variety of flora and fauna and the most beautiful views.
What we will do
The starting point for the excursion is Francavilla di Sicilia, in the province of Messina. After meeting the excursion guide who will accompany us on the tour and a briefing on the use of the quad bikes and safety regulations, we will set off on board the bombastic 4x4 vehicles.
We will pass through the centre of Francavilla and the nearby village of Castiglione di Sicilia, which, with its castles and views overlooking the Alcantara Valley, is counted among the most beautiful villages in Italy.
We then continue to the town of Motta Camastra, where we take the path that will lead us up the slopes of Montagna Grande. This is the highest mountain in the Peloritani chain, at 1,374 metres in height, and promises unique views of the Sicilian mountains, the sea and the Strait of Messina, as far as the Calabrian coastline.
The excursion lasts a total of 3.5 hours and ends with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to all B licence holders. Children aged 3 and over can also board the quad bike as passengers.
The maximum load limit for quads is 180 kg.
Other information
This activity can be carried out all year round. It is necessary to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance.
Important: the participation fee is per quad. If you book a quad bike, you can take a passenger with you free of charge, with the possibility of alternating driving.
It is possible to bring your four-legged friend on board the quad. Alternatively, you can leave it at the centre, where fresh water will be available, and retrieve it at the end of your experience.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
