Explore the Alcantara Valley on a quad bike, with its striking lava gorges and landscapes of volcanic earth and lush Mediterranean vegetation.
With the 1-hour quad bike tour , you will immerse yourself in highly evocative natural scenery and enjoy driving the 4-wheel vehicle on dirt tracks, outside and inside the stream bed.
An adventure for all nature and motor lovers and for those who want to get a taste of the scents and colours of Etna's wildest Sicily !
What we will do
We will meet in Motta Camastra (ME), near the Alcantara Gorges. We will meet the excursion guide who will accompany us on the tour, and after a short briefing on the use of the quad bikes and safety regulations, we will get on board to set off.
We will explore the Alcantara River Park, fording stretches of river and following dirt tracks characterised by the presence of lava rocks eroded over millennia by the incessant flow of water. This makes the area an important geological-naturalistic site, of incredible charm and the subject of study by experts and researchers.
The quad bike tour will last 1 hour, will take place in the area between Castiglione and Francavilla di Sicilia, and will end with a return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level. All holders of a B licence, even first-time quad bike riders, can participate. Children aged 3 and under can also board as passengers.
The maximum load limit for quads is 180 kg.
Other information
This activity can be carried out all year round. Attention! Please arrive at the meeting place at least 15 minutes in advance.
Important: the participation fee is per quad. If you book a quad bike, you can take a passenger with you free of charge, with the possibility of alternating driving.
It is possible to bring your four-legged friend on board the quad. Alternatively, you can leave it at the centre, where fresh water will be available, and retrieve it at the end of your experience.
