If nature rhymes with adventure for you, this quad bike tour in the Maiella National Park is for you!
Thanks to a local guide, you will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the Maiella and Valle Giumentina, while having fun driving through beech forests, valleys and archaeological excavations dating back to the Palaeolithic period.

What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Abbateggio (PE). Upon arrival, we will meet the guide and have a short briefing, in which the operation of the quad bike will be explained to us. Afterwards, we will take a test ride to get familiar with the vehicle.
Then the adventure will begin! Riding our quads, we will drive on scenic trails through valleys and beech forests. We will drive into the heart of the Valle Giumentina, coming into contact with the nature and fauna of the Maiella National Park. There will be no shortage of stops, during which we will be able to chat with the guide or admire the archaeological excavations dating back to the Palaeolithic period.
We will see various finds and the famous dry stone huts of Tholos, built by shepherds and farmers in the 1800s. The guide will accompany us during the excursion with many stories and curiosities about this fascinating place.
We will cover a total of 20 km, most of it on dirt road. The activity will end with a return to the starting point and will last about one and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is suitable for everyone. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a B licence.
The minimum age for passengers is 6 years.

The excursion takes place all year round.
Important: The cost of 80€ is per quad. Each quad bike can carry one driver and one passenger (with the possibility of swapping driving). There are 4 quads available for a maximum of 8 participants.
The excursion takes place on roads where the transit of motor vehicles is authorised, in compliance with the Park's rules on environmental protection and conservation. For this reason too, we will ride the quad bike at a low speed. If the Park rules are not respected, the guide has the right to interrupt the activity.
It is advisable to bring your own helmet, if you have one. Otherwise it will be provided by the organisation.
Dogs are not allowed to participate in this activity.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
