Full description
Riding a quad bike on Lake Bracciano is the ultimate experience for nature and motor lovers.
In the Regional Natural Park of Bracciano-Martignano, about 30 km from Rome, you can admire beautiful views and discover a wealth of wildlife.
The queen of this day? The Beech Forest of Oriolo Romano, aUNESCO World Heritage Site, an ancient beech forest that has remained intact over time thanks to the lake microclimate.
What we will do
We will meet in Trevignano Romano (RM), 15 minutes before the time selected at the time of booking. We will first attend a briefing and carry out a driving test.
Once our level has been established, the guides will decide on which variant of the route to carry out the excursion. After that, we will set off for the Beech Forest of Oriolo Romano, a place that is truly unique due to its location: beech forests usually rise between 700 and 900 metres above sea level. Here, at only 450 m, there is instead one of the most luxuriant beech forests in Europe.
The influence of the lake, with its microclimate and wet currents, ensures lushness and provides an ideal habitat for many species of wild animals, such as hawks, foxes, wild boar or turtles. We will meet many of them along the way, so watch out for the accelerator!
We will ride on dirt and gravel roads and cross bumpy sections to have fun and make the most of the quad bike's potential; the experience will be carried out in full respect of the natural setting, on authorised roads. We will also stop at several vantage points to take some photos and walk through the beech forest trying out silvotherapy, i.e. we will hug a tree and get charged up with positive energy!
After leaving the beech forest, we will stop at a bar for a drink and then get back on the quad bike to continue on to the town of Bracciano. Souvenir photo with the lake behind us and straight to the meeting point! The activity lasts 4 hours in total. For almost the entire route the quad bike group will be followed by an assistance vehicle for any eventualities.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 5.
ATV riding is permitted for persons aged 18 to 70 with a B licence and in good physical condition. The original driving licence must be presented before the activity begins. Photos or copies of the document will not be accepted.
Other information
The activity is available from March to November and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 booked quads.
The tour is conducted at a moderate speed and participants are expected to follow the guide's directions while respecting the landscape in which the experience takes place.
The centre has 4 quads for a maximum of 8 participants. When booking, you will be able to select the number of drivers and passengers (who can, if necessary, swap driving).
Annual membership of the association is included in the participation fee.
The quads are equipped with roof racks so you can carry a backpack and water. Valuables can be deposited in a safety locker at the starting point.
It is possible to add to the quad bike excursion a lunch at an agriturismo and/or a tour of Lake Bracciano on board a boat. These are extra activities to be paid for on site: request them from the organiser after booking.
At the end of the activity, photos and videos of the day will be emailed to participants free of charge.
