Full description
Discover the beauty of the Ribera area on board a quad bike, exploring the town's surroundings with the gritty four-wheeler, among torrents to wade through and beautiful landscapes.
This quad bike excursion will allow you to experience nature from a new point of view, having fun driving on dirt tracks surrounded by greenery.
You will also be able to admire the ancient Poggiodiana Castle, which stands on a hill and dominates the landscape. All this in total safety, thanks to an experienced instructor who will lead the way.
What we will do
We will meet in Ribera, in the province of Agrigento. We will meet the guide who will accompany us on the excursion, and first we will have a briefing on the use of quad bikes and safety rules. A brief test to test the controls, and we will be ready to set off on the quad bike tour.
From the historic centre of Ribera we will move towards the countryside, dominated by lush nature and surrounded by beautiful landscapes. We will stop at the Poggiodiana Castle, built by the Normans in the 12th century on top of a hill surrounded by greenery.
The quad bike route will take us to the wildest places that can only be reached by this type of vehicle. We will wade through torrents, cross dirt, muddy and uneven stretches for a true off-road adventure, skirting the Verdura river and its canyon known as the Wolf Gorge.
There will be no lack of scenic stops to take souvenir photos and, if necessary, to swap guides with passengers.
The activity will last a total of 2 hours for a distance of about 25 km.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to anyone with an A or B licence; equivalent foreign licences are allowed.
You can ride from the age of 16, while the minimum age to ride the quad bike as a passenger is 5.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first time quad rider.
Other information
This activity is available from March to June, in September and October. A 3-hour tour is available in July and August.
Important: the fee is per quad. One driver and one passenger can travel on each quad bike (with the possibility of swapping driving during the tour). The centre has 9 quads for a total of 18 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
