Get ready for animmersion in the nature of the Agrigento hinterland and set off on an adventure with a quad bike tour in Ribera to the Dam Castello on Lake Magazzolo.
Test your off-road driving skills on dirt tracks and fording streams and reach the wildest places in the area, accessible only by All Terrain Vehicles.
A local guide will lead the way, taking you to the most picturesque spots for an exciting and fun half-day experience!
What we will do
We will meet in Ribera, in the province of Agrigento. The guide will welcome us, handing over the quads andequipment and holding an introductory briefing on the use of the vehicles and safety rules. We will then depart from the historic centre of Ribera to reach the wilder areas in the surroundings.
The route will take place through woods and countryside, will be mostly unpaved , and will lead us to cross the fords of the Magazzolo river several times. About halfway along, we will encounter a thick forest of pine and eucalyptus trees.
Finally we will reach the Castello Dam on Lake Magazzolo and linger a while to admire the breathtaking view of the valley's villages, before returning to base and enjoying the last stretch of this off-road adventure.
The activity will last 3 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is open to anyone with an A or B licence; equivalent foreign licences are allowed.
You can ride from the age of 16, while the minimum age to ride the quad bike as a passenger is 5.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first time quad rider.
Other information
This activity can be carried out from March to November.
Important: the fee is per quad. One driver and one passenger can travel on each quad bike (with the possibility of swapping driving during the excursion). The centre has 9 quads for a total of 18 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
