Venture out to discover a hidden corner in the middle of the Is Cannoneris nature reserve in the hinterland of South Sardinia and reach the suggestive Riu Alinu waterfalls.
On board a quad bike, you will travel along dirt tracks amidst vegetation, surrounded by unusual and fascinating Mediterranean landscapes, in an unspoilt environment that will amaze you in every season.
If you think Sardinia is all sea and beaches, you'll change your mind with this excursion... especially after swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the torrent!
What we will do
We will meet in Chia, a hamlet of Domus de Maria (SU). We will meet the guide who will take us on the tour and hold an introductory briefing on the route and the use of the quads. After which, everyone ready aboard their vehicle, we will begin our adventure!
Via scenic roads and nature trails in the middle of the Sardinian mountains, we will reach the Is Cannoneris reserve in the hinterland of Pula, an area characterised by lush nature and home to many wild animal species. Hidden in the foliage of trees and bushes, the Riu Alinu waterfalls are a little piece of paradise, especially in the summer season, when the crystal-clear waters are perfect for a refreshing swim!
Bathing will take place in the natural pool below the first waterfall, the highest, and is not recommended for those suffering from vertigo. In case you are afraid of heights, you can go to the third waterfall, which is less high and can be reached comfortably from the path.
Our quad bike adventure will take us on a fun and scenic route of about 65 km in total, from the coast to the Sardinian hinterland. On the way, we will make several stops at scenic spots to take photos and explore the surroundings.
Around 15:00 we will be back at the base.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is open to all B licence holders. One passenger, aged 5 years and over, is allowed on each quad bike.
Other information
This activity runs from November to May and is confirmed once a minimum of 2 quads has been booked.
The participation fee is per quad bike. Each quad bike can carry 1 driver and 1 passenger, with the option to swap driving roles. There are 5 quad bikes available for a maximum of 10 participants.
It is important to follow the safety instructions provided by the guide for the entire duration of the activity. Racing, overtaking, skidding or any behaviour that jeopardises the safety of participants is not permitted.
The fee includes third-party liability insurance. Personal injury is excluded.
A driving test will be carried out before setting off. Anyone deemed by the guide to be unable to drive the quad bike will not be admitted to the tour.
Pets are not permitted during the activity.
Important: for bookings of 4 quads or more, or private tours, a pre-authorisation will be required on site via credit card ( minimum €1, 000. 00 up to €3, 000. 00) , which will be cancelled at the end of the tour if the vehicles are returned undamaged; otherwise, the amount corresponding to the value of the damage will be retained. Should the cost of the damage exceed the pre-authorised amount, the pre-authorisation will be cashed and the difference will be charged to cover the damage.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is last minute. You get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
