Full description
When asked"What is the most fun to ride?", the answer is always and only one: the quad bike!
Find out why with this fantastic 2-hour quad bike tour in the Nera Valley.
From Montefranco, you will tackle a wonderful 40 km route, mostly dirt road, that blends together nature and history. From the Marmore Falls to the traces left by the settlements of the Longobards, every kilometre of this experience will show you why riding a quad bike is an unparalleled experience!
What we will do
The meeting point is Montefranco, in the province of Terni, where the guide will welcome us. Before we begin, we will have a small introductory briefing in which the characteristics of the quad bike will be explained to us and we will be given a few useful tips. We will also be able to test drive the vehicle in the square in front of the venue.
Once we have our helmets on, we will begin our adventure along the approximately40 km route in the Nera Valley. The first stop will be the Marmore Waterfall, a 165-metre-high natural wonder that will captivate us with its spectacular jets of water.
After leaving the waterfall, we will follow the course of the Nera river and pass through places rich in history, such as areas showing the influence of the Longobards. We will come across small churches and chapels with Longobard architecture scattered along the river, fortifications, ancient necropolis and other sites dating back to the medieval period.
We will also have the opportunity to visit the medieval villages of Arrone and Ferentillo, each with its own unique charm. Arrone fascinates with its picturesque streets and squares, while Ferentillo is famous for the mummies preserved in the church of Santo Stefano. Along the way, there will be short stops to visit the places, take some photos or take a ride on the quad bike.
We will conclude the tour by returning to the starting point, following the course of the river Nera. The total duration of the excursion is about 2 hours.
