E-bike rental in the Vesuvius National Park for 6 hours with access to the crater

Have you ever experienced the thrill of standing on the crater of a volcano?

With this unique experience you can reach the summit of Vesuvius with a combination of e-bike rental and panoramic trekking.

Pedal effortlessly along the Strada Matrone and then continue on foot to the summit, where one of Italy's most incredible sceneries awaits you. It will be 6 hours of pure adventure!

What we will do

The appointment is 15 minutes before the chosen time in Boscotrecase (NA).

Here the hire staff will welcome you and provide you with your trekking e-bike. You will also be given a digital road map with photos and directions for the route and an access ticket to the Gran Cono del Vesuvio.

On the saddle of your e-bike you will ride along the Strada Matrone, a privileged gateway to Vesuvius. Your excursion along the 8 km of this road will allow you to immerse yourself in the unique volcanic landscape and admire an exceptional view of the Gulf of Naples, Capri and Sorrento in the distance.

After about an hour of cycling you will reach an altitude of 850 metres, where you can leave your e-bike at a point designated by the staff and secure it with a padlock. From here you will begin a walk along a dirt path that will take you to the access turnstiles to the crater at an altitude of 1,050 metres in about 40 minutes.

Once past the turnstiles, you will continue your ascent to the crater of Vesuvius for about 40 minutes, where you will be able to admire one of the most spectacular views in the world, observe the heart of the volcano up close, and learn more about its history and geology.

After enjoying this incredible view, you will begin the return journey. The park closes around 4pm, so make sure you manage your time well to get the most out of this experience.

The rental will last 6 hours, with return of the e-bike at the starting point.

Who it is aimed at

The hire is suitable for children aged 15 years and over or with a minimum height of 1.40 metres. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Due to the steepness of the route, a minimum of familiarity with the bike is required.

Child seats are available for children up to 90 cm tall, at an extra cost of €10.

The activity is available all year round.

The rented bike is an Adriatica brand trekking e-bike , with an ANANDA M81 motor, 522WH battery, hydraulic disc brakes, comfortable saddle and up to 140 km of autonomy under optimal conditions of use.

A child seat costs an extra €10 and can be requested after confirmation of the booking and paid for on site.

The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; there is free parking on site.
