Full description
The captain is ready to welcome you aboard his historic family boat.
After a life spent on cruise ships, he continues his passion for sailing by accompanying our adventurers to discover the Pontine Islands archipelago. Accept his invitation and hire a wooden gozzo in Ponza: together with your 'crew' of up to 10 people, you will sail to the main attractions of the islands of Ponza, Palmarola or Zannone.
And you will not miss an aperitif on board, with which to toast this exclusive day at sea!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at 09:30 at the meeting point on theisland of Ponza (LT). To welcome you there will be me, your skipper for this exclusive sailing experience!
Upon your arrival, I will welcome you aboard my boat: it is a historic 10-metre-long wooden gozzo equipped with a sundeck with cushions, awning, ladder, shower, USB socket, and icebox where you can store any food and drinks you wish to take with you.
You will be the real captain of the day, along with your "crew" of up to 10 people: it will be up to you to decide the sailing itinerary and I will be on hand to take you wherever you want to go! To enjoy this experience to the fullest, I suggest you choose to explore one of the islands of Ponza, Palmarola , and Zannone. If you choose Ponza, among the many natural attractions you can admire are the Grotto of the Maga Circe, the Chiaia di Luna beach, the Capo Bianco promontory, and the romantic Cala del Core. Generally, there are four to five bathroom stops along the way at your discretion.
An aperitif (included) of assorted snacks accompanied by a glass of prosecco wine will also be served on board to toast this exclusive experience!
We will finally return to the meeting point; the experience will last approximately 7½ hours in total. Return to the port is always expected by 18:00.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 do not need to be accompanied by an adult.
The excursion is recommended for pregnant women, but it is necessary to contact the skipper at the contact details indicated in the e-mail confirmation of the booking to indicate attendance.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
The experience is available from May to October.
The meeting point is easily accessible on foot and/or by taxi service. Upon request, the skipper is available to embark guests at an alternative meeting point, usually the Santa Maria Beach on the island of Ponza; contact the skipper at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail if you wish to forward your request.
On board the boat you remain barefoot; no shoes are allowed.
You may bring food and drinks on board; please contact the skipper at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email if you wish to request extra food and drinks. Participants with food allergies and/or intolerances are welcome to bring their own food on board as the included aperitif is not customisable.
Small to medium-sized dogs are allowed on board.
