Full description
Enjoy a day sailing from Catania and explore the Riviera dei Ciclopi and the Aci Trezza marine reserve. You will enjoy a relaxing and peaceful day at sea away from the crowded beaches.
With a leisurely sail you will first reach the Caves of Ulysses and then Aci Castello, where you can admire the famous Norman Castle and dive into the wonderfully clear waters.
On board the boat you can enjoy a delicious light lunch offered by the skipper, relax and sunbathe while being caressed by the breeze and the scent of the sea.
What we will do
We will embark at Catania's tourist port at 10:00 am, where we will be welcomed by the skipper, who will give a briefing on sailing before hoisting the sails.
We willproceed northwards and our sailing will be accompanied by a splendid view of Mount Etna. We will also be able to admire the Riviera dei Ciclopi, a stretch of coastline characterised by wonderful landscapes and legends.
The first stop will be at the Ulysses Caves , which were formed inside a lava cliff overlooking the sea and are characterised by their wonderfully coloured seabed, ranging from blue to green to blue. Here we will take a dip to cool off and, wearing our snorkelling mask, admire the marine inhabitants of these beautiful waters.
Once back on board, we will continue on to Aci Castello, where we will be able to admire the Norman Castle. Here, too, we will be able to dive in and bathe with a view of the castle set on a promontory of lava stone. We will admire up close the characteristic pillows of lava, formed by the rapid cooling of lava during underwater eruptions.
Continuing by boat we will reach Aci Trezza. Here we can go ashore to discover the characteristic fishing village on foot or rent a pedalo and visit the Ciclopi Islands marine reserve, the scene of many legends.
Upon returning to the boat, we will enjoy a light lunch of seasoned bread (yes, the traditional pane cunzato!), fresh fruit, wine and water. At the end of the meal, we will reverse course to return to port, not before diving into the sea for a last swim. We will disembark in Catania at around 16:00.
Who it is aimed at
The excursion is aimed at everyone from the age of 3 years. It is necessary to have a minimum of mobility to get on and off the boat.

The tour runs all year round, weather permitting, and is confirmed with a minimum of 6 persons.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
In the event of allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements , you must notify the organiser by contacting him once your booking has been confirmed. You may request to accompany your lunch with a bottle of prosecco.
The boat that will accompany you on this tour will be a Sun Odyssey 44 sailboat, 13.75 m long and 4.37 m wide, equipped with a toilet.
