Full description
A day at sea in Palermo, this is how we imagine it.
Sailing aboard a sailboat, discovering the main attractions of the coast, in the company of a local skipper who is eager to reveal the secrets of the trade. This is what awaits you by taking part in our excursion along the Palermo coast, between Mondello and Capo Zafferano!
And, as Sicilian hospitality teaches, there will be no lack of lunch on board.
What we will do
The appointment is at 10:00 am at the meeting point in Palermo. The skipper will welcome us on board his sailboat!
Once all participants have finished boarding, we will set sail to discover the coast of Palermo. The first natural attraction we will encounter will be the Grotta della Regina (Queen's Cave), outside which we will stop for a 1-hour stop during which we will be able to swim to the inside of the cave. Depending on the best conditions of the day, we will then continue on to Capo Zafferano or Mondello: in the first case we will stop at the scenic Cala dei Francesi while in the second case we will stop in the Gulf of Mondello, passing through the characteristic Arenella district and the historic Tonnara Bordonaro; this second swimming stop will last 3 hours.
During the navigation, you will be able to actively participate in life on board: we can ask the skipper to teach us some sailing notions such as adjusting the sails and holding the rudder; on request we can also try to steer the boat! We will also be served a lunch (included) consisting of a starter and main course accompanied by an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink.
We will then return to the meeting point at 17:00. The experience will last a total of 7 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 4 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The boat is not accessible to persons with mobility problems.
Other information
The experience takes place from April to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 4 adult participants.
Theboat is a 14-metre long sailboat equipped with awning, reclining chairs, shower, toilet and stereo. Shoes are allowed on board. Dogs are not allowed on board.

There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
