As long as the boat is going, let it go. .. . but first learn how to handle it!
With this 1. 5-hour experience in the province of Ragusa, you can learn how to drive a sailing boat together with an instructor. You will learn all the necessary nomenclature, how to manage the sails and how to change direction through a theoretical explanation and a practical exercise.
Put on your captain's hat and get ready to set sail!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Marina di Modica (RG) . The instructor who will give the sailing lesson will be waiting for us.
After an initial welcome, we will begin the experience with a 20-minute theoretical explanation, during which we will learn the necessary nomenclature, how to drive the boat, manage the sails, and change direction.
Having learned the basics, we will board a boat and start practising: we will head out to sea following the procedures we have learnt and the instructor will be by our side at all times to support us. Gradually, we will discover how to drive the boat and how to manoeuvre the sails independently.
After about 1 hour of practice, we will spend the last 5 minutes of the lesson clarifying any doubts to consolidate what we have learned.
The activity will last 1½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 14. Children under 18 can only participate if accompanied by a responsible adult.
The lesson is of an easy level and suitable for a first sailing experience.
Other information
The activity is available from the end of March to mid-November and will be confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 2 participants.
Outdoor showers, changing rooms and a storage room for valuables are available at the meeting point.
It is necessary to remain barefoot on board the boat.
There are free parking spaces on site; the meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Small dogs are allowed on board the boat.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
