Full description
Embark on a one-day sailing tour in the Gulf of Palermo. In one day you will visit characteristic fishing villages and famous tuna fisheries.
Depending on the weather and sea conditions, you will visit either the west or the east coast, either way taking part in a unique experience discovering Palermo's coastal area.
You will be able to dive into the water and snorkel and, between swimming stops, enjoy a deliciouslunch of typical Sicilian products.
What we will do
We will meet 15 minutes before departure at the indicated meeting point in Palermo. Here we will be welcomed by the staff, who will lead us to the sailboat, which is about a 3-minute walk away.
We will then set sail at 10 a.m. for a sailing tour to discover the city's fishing villages, such as Vergine Maria and Arenella, its tuna nets (Florio and Bordonaro) and the western coast of the Gulf.
We will reach the bay of Mondello, where we will stop to enjoy a rich lunch. We will enjoy a good typical Sicilian antipasto, street food, the famous Sicilian 'faccia di vecchia' (old woman's face), and then caponata, cold meats, cheeses, couscous, and fruit salad. The menu may vary depending on the catch of the day.
At the end of lunch, we leave for the Capogallo Marine Reserve. Several bathroom stops are planned during the itinerary, usually three, two of which last 10 minutes and one longer one included in the lunch break.
If conditions do not permit a visit to the west coast, we will visit the east coast of the Gulf, heading towards the seaside village of Aspra and from there we will move on to Mongerbino. Near the famous Arco Azzurro there will be an initial swimming stop.
We will then continue towards Capo Zafferano for lunch and we will be able to dive into the waters of the area, which are particularly suitable for snorkelling.
Return to the port is scheduled for 17:00, for a total duration of 7 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is intended for adults. It is not suitable for persons with reduced mobility or pregnant women.
Other information
The activity is available from June to September on the days indicated in the calendar and is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 4 participants.
The tour takes place on board a Dufour 425 large sailing boat, 12.91 m long and 4.15 m wide, approved for 12 persons. The boat is equipped with awning, hot and freshwater shower, cushions, toilet facilities and stereo. Dogs are not allowed on board.
The itinerary may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
There is the possibility of purchasing a snorkelling tube (€5) and beach towels (€8) on board.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
