Full description
The most beautiful sea in eastern Sicily? That of the Syracuse coast.
The best way to admire it? With a sailing boat tour! Set sail from Ortigia to explore the suggestive sea caves of the Ionian Sea and the Plemmirio Nature Reserve in the company of a skipper.
On board you will be pampered with an aperitif, the perfect way to toast with friends during this half-day at sea!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Syracuse (SR). To welcome us we will find our skipper ready to take us on this sailing tour!
Once we have gathered all the participants, we will travel a short distance by dinghy to Ortigia, where the sailboat with which we will conduct the excursion is docked, after which we will proceed to embark and be ready to set sail.
Our first stop will be the north-east coast of Syracuse: we will sail past numerous sea caves, such as the suggestive Grotta con i coralli (Cave with Corals), until we reach the Scoglio Due Fratelli (I du' Frati). From here we will turn around, taking our course southwards again, in the direction of the Plemmirio Nature Reserve. During navigation, there will be no shortage of opportunities for swimming at a spot chosen on the basis of the best conditions.
To make our stay on board even more comfortable, the skipper will serve us an aperitif consisting of an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink of our choice accompanied by cold meats, cheeses and other savoury snacks.
We will then return to Ortigia, after which we will be accompanied back to the meeting point in the dinghy. The experience will last about 4 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at the meeting point.
The boat is not accessible to persons with mobility problems.
Other information
The experience takes place from June to September and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Theboat is a 9.5-metre-long sailboat with sundeck, shade area, toilet and interior cabins.
On board one remains barefoot. Dogs are allowed on board.
