Discover the underwater wonders that lurk on the Catania coastline, with ascuba dive guided by expert instructors.
Starting from a bay with direct access to the sea, you will admire natural arches, walls, and caves rich in marine flora and fauna, for an incredibly exciting experience discovering a new world!
The dive will take place at different depths, from a minimum of 15 m to a maximum of 50 m, depending on the experience level of the group.
What we will do
The meeting point for the activity is at Camping Jonio in Catania, inside a natural bay created by lava flows many centuries ago. The instructors will welcome us, divide us into groups of the same experience level, and provide us withequipment (tanks and ballasts are included in the fee, while everything else can be hired on site).
After dressing and an introductory briefing on safety regulations, we will enter the sea directly from a ladder. The bay in which we will dive is a perfect place for scuba diving because it offers multiple dive spots, of varying nature, depth and difficulty.
Less experienced divers will be able to dive down to a maximum depth of 25 metres and will be faced with depths rich in marine life, with the possibility of spotting octopuses, sea daisies, moray eels or parrot fish. The more experienced, on the other hand, will go as deep as 50 metres in search of barracudas and eagle rays!
The dive spots will be selected by the instructors, taking into account the level of the group and the sea conditions.
Between preparation, briefing and diving, the activity lasts a total of about 1.5 hours.

This activity is intended for divers with an Open Water Diver licence.

This activity can be carried out all year round, weather permitting, and is confirmed when there are at least 4 participants.
Showers and changing rooms can be used at the diving centre.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
