Feel the emotions of a real diver and dive into the waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea together with an expert instructor for a first diving experience in total safety.
The Scuba Diving Experience is the first step for those who want to approach the world of diving or for those who are just curious and want to experience the sensation of breathing underwater with a scuba tank.
A 1-hour guided dive to a depth of 5 metres off Tropea or Capo Vaticano, on the magnificent Costa degli Dei. Theoretical lesson and equipment included!
What we will do
The rendezvous is in Santa Maria di Ricadi, on the Costa degli Dei. On your arrival, you will meet the instructors of the diving centre who will provide you with thecomplete equipment for the dive (wetsuit, mask, fins, tank, and regulator).
The experience is dedicated to diving novices and includes a theoretical briefing in which the basic concepts and rules to follow are explained. Afterwards, you will reach the dive site near Capo Vaticano or Tropea by rubber dinghy (depending on the instructor's choice).
You will then be ready to dive into the sea with the instructor, who will follow you step by step throughout the dive. After the first surface breathing tests , you will dive to a depth of 5 metres, enough to admire the marine environment with its creatures and to experience a new indescribable thrill!
The total duration of the activity is about 1.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone from 8 years old and up. No previous experience or certification is required, just knowing how to swim.
Other information
This activity can be carried out from June to October, weather permitting, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
Times may vary depending on the organisation of the various activities at the diving centre. In the event of time variations, you will be informed by the instructor in good time.
It is strongly discouraged to dive 24 hours before an aeroplane flight, as, due to the lower atmospheric pressure on board the plane, nitrogen, which may have remained in the body, may form bubbles inside the tissues that can obstruct the flow of blood.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
