Full description
Experience the thrill of diving and going underwater like a real diver and discover what is hidden on the seabed thanks to the Scuba Diving Experience, a true 'baptism of the sea' in the waters of Taormina.
An experienced instructor will take you on aguided beginners' dive, teaching you the basic concepts of scuba diving and providing you with all the necessary equipment.
For your first scuba dive, you will dive between 5 and 8 metres deep, remaining safe at all times thanks to the instructor who will accompany you step by step.
What we will do
The appointment is at the port of Giardini Naxos (ME), where we will meet the instructor who will be our reference point for theScuba Diving experience. We will begin with an introductory lesson on the notions we need to know before diving and the rules of behaviour to be followed in the water.
Then we will be given thecomplete equipment and get into the boat to reach the diving spot between Giardini Naxos and Taormina. Once on site, we will put on our mask, fins and tank and dive with the instructor. A few breathing tests on the surface and then down underwater, in the deep blue sea!
Gradually we will reach a maximum depth of 8 metres and , as we descend to the seabed, a new world will open up before our eyes. We will observe sea creatures and experience an unexpected thrill for the first time, which will make us fall in love with the world of diving!
In total, the experience lasts 2.5 hours , of which about 45 minutes are underwater.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone from 10 years old and up. No experience is required, as long as you are healthy and have good aquatic skills.
Other information
This activity can be carried out from April to October, weather permitting.
Scuba diving 24 hours before an aeroplane flight is strongly discouraged, as, due to the lower atmospheric pressure on board the plane, nitrogen, which may have remained in the body, may form bubbles within the tissues that can obstruct blood flow.
