If the sea is your element, a sea baptism is waiting for you in Reggio Calabria that will make you feel the thrill of putting your head underwater for the first time!
In the company of an instructor, you will learn the basics of diving and do some exercises to get familiar with the equipment. Then you will dive to a maximum depth of 5 metres and admire the biodiversity of the beautiful Costa Viola!
You will experience emotions out of the ordinary!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Reggio Calabria (RC), where the instructor will be waiting for us and will guide us on our first underwater adventure!
After an initial welcome, we will participate in a briefing, during which we will be given the necessary equipment (wetsuit, GAV, regulator, mask, fins, footwear, tanks, ballasts) and the rules for living the experience safely will be explained to us.
Once in the water from the shore, we will become familiar with breathing underwater thanks to some basic exercises and we will discover how to compensate, how to empty the mask and how to retrieve the regulator in case of need. When we feel ready, we will begin our dive, going down to a maximum depth of 5 metres. During the exploration, we will sharpen our eyesight to spot the fish that inhabit the area and, if we are lucky, we may even find some rare species!
At the end of the dive, we will return to the starting point and, while sipping a drink (included) , we will be given a certificate of participation. Putting our heads underwater for the first time will be an unforgettable thrill and we can't wait to do it again!
The activity will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from the age of 10; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
It is not necessary to know how to swim to participate, but good aquatic skills are required. The activity is suitable for first-time divers and no licence is required to take part.
You must be in good health to participate. The experience is not accessible to pregnant women, people suffering from neurological diseases and people with asthma/cold. In addition, the consumption of alcohol prior to the activity is prohibited. You will be asked to sign a self-declaration of good health on site.
Caution! Diving 24 hours before a flight by plane is strongly discouraged.
Other information
The experience runs from March to October.
On site there are changing rooms, toilets, showers with hot water and a storage room for valuables.
Any accompanying persons can wait comfortably at the facilities of the host lido.
There is free, secure parking on site. The meeting point is easily accessible by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
