Get ready to experience the Salento coast as it deserves to be experienced: on a high-performance e-bike!
On this self-guided full-day tour starting from Melendugno, you’ll cycle 60 km to Otranto, guided by a handy app with an interactive map. It’s effortless thanks to pedal assistance, and you’ll discover iconic sights such as the Grotta della Poesia and the Aragonese Castle.
What we will do
The meeting point is at 9. 00 am in Melendugno (LE), where you will collect your e-bike for the whole day.
Once you’ve sorted out the rental formalities, you’ll hop on the Scott E-Ride Subcross, a hybrid e-bike with a range of 80–100 km, perfect for all kinds of routes. Its slightly knobbly tyres will allow you to tackle even the most adventurous trails.
Thanks to the app on your smartphone with an interactive map, you’ll set off on a 60 km route that winds its way through the Salento peninsula’s most iconic coastal landscapes. The first part of the route will take you to the beaches of San Foca and the Roca cliffs, famous for the natural swimming pool at the Grotta della Poesia.
From here, you’ll continue towards the pine forests of Torre dell’Orso and the majestic Faraglioni of Sant’Andrea, before heading even further south. You’ll cycle along scenic roads until you reach Otranto, the pearl of the Adriatic Sea, where you can stroll through the narrow streets of the historic centre and admire its famous Aragonese Castle.
Throughout the day, you’ll have complete freedom to plan your own stops to take photos, take a dip at the beach or sample local specialities at the eateries along the coast.
At the end of the route, you’ll return to the starting point. The bike is to be returned by 6. 00 pm.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Child seats are available for children up to 3 years of age and baby carriages for children up to 5 years of age are available at an extra charge to be paid on site.
It is possible to ride the e-bike with a minimum height of 1.40 m. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult when signing the rental contract.
Other information
Rental is available all year round, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
E-bike delivery to your hotel/accommodation in Lecce is free of charge. Communicate the address to the organiser (you will receive the contact via e-mail with the booking confirmation).
Important: you may be asked by the organiser for a deposit of up to €300 by credit card, which will be returned to you when you return the bike.
Pet trolleys are not available.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
