Discover the magnificent world of ski mountaineering with a day of snow activities in Alta Val di Susa. You will ski in unspoilt places, far from the crowds and chaos of the slopes, and learn the techniques of ski touring with sealskins.
You will have a private alpine guide at your disposal for 6 hours who will lead you and your group to discover the best ski-mountaineering itineraries around Bardonecchia. In short, get ready to experience the beauty of the mountains like never before!
What we will do
We will meet around 9.30am at the Campo Smith ski resort in Bardonecchia. Here we will meet our private mountain guide and have a short briefing to check safety equipment and illustrate basic techniques.
The guide will choose the most suitable hiking programme for us, taking into account our preferences, physical abilities, previous experience and snowpack conditions. The white, silence and immensity of the mountains will be the backdrop to our day of ski touring along the most beautiful routes in the Bardonecchia area.
We'll learn to move with seal skins under our skis to tackle even the steepest climbs and we'll try exciting off-piste descents on fresh , untracked snow . We will be totally immersed in the landscapes of Alta Val di Susa, experiencing the mountains in a complete and revitalising way.
We may decide to have lunch in a refuge along the way or to devote ourselves completely to our activity, depending on the group's wishes. At the end of the hike, still with the adrenaline pumping, we will return to Camp Smith.
The total duration of the activity will be about 6 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at experienced skiers, able to ski on all types of snow, who want to discover a new discipline. Theminimum age to participate is 18.
Other information
The activity can be booked every day from December to the end of April, subject to snow and weather conditions.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
