Full description
Have you ever looked into the eyes of a Siberian Husky ready to run? That's where the magic begins.
At Casera Razzo in the Dolomites, you can enjoy a 1-hour dog sledding experience with an expert guide (musher) who will teach you how to drive your sled on a 3 km loop.
You will feel the energy of the pack as it paws and, on your signal, you will glide through the snow independently, becoming one with your tireless four-legged companions.
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the time selected during the booking process at Casera Razzo (BL) . To welcome us we will find the musher, ready to introduce us to the Siberian Huskies: they will be the real engines and companions of our adventure.
We will begin with a briefing of about 15 minutes, during which we will learn the basics of sled driving, safety rules and the secrets of communicating with our Husky pack. Once we have put on our helmets and created our first bond with the dogs (three to five per sled, depending on the consistency of the snow) , we will finally be ready to go.
We will follow a ring-shaped itinerary of about 3 km, whizzing along a technical track characterised by fun ups and downs winding through the Dolomites. During the entire excursion, we will be followed by the musher, who will move around on a snowmobile or another sledge to guarantee us constant assistance.
On the sledge we will be alone in command: we will drive our vehicle in total autonomy, feeling the energy of the dogs or and admiring the snow-capped peaks silhouetted against the sky.
Finally, we will return to the base where we will have time to thank the Huskies with a few caresses and take the last photos. Before saying goodbye, we will receive the videos and digital photos taken during the activity, the best way to preserve the excitement of this legendary ride!
Between briefing and hike, the experience will last about 1 hour.
Who it is aimed at
You must be at least 12 years old to drive a sled on the 3 km track. Children aged between 4 and 11 can participate on a dedicated, easier and flatter track, transported by the musher or driving a sledge suitable for them under close supervision.
Each sledge has only one driver: children may not be transported together with their parents.
In order to participate, you must weigh less than 105 kg and have a minimum motor capacity; in the case of participants with illnesses, physical handicaps or other disabilities, you must contact the organiser (you will receive contact details by e-mail with your booking confirmation) .
The activity is strongly discouraged for those suffering from back problems or pregnant women.
