If you love the sea, nature and the spectacular scenery of the Cinque Terre, this is the activity for you!
Join our 3-hour snorkelling tour dedicated to the protection of marine species. Discover the secrets of theCinque Terre Marine Protected Area and observe the local fauna with mask and snorkel.
Between dives in clear waters and a swim in a freshwater waterfall, you will experience an adventure that will make you feel an active part of the preservation of marine biodiversity!
What we will do
We will depart from Manarola at 10:00 a.m. aboard the gozzo Obelix, after an interesting briefing that will provide us with the necessary notions for observing and monitoring underwater life.
We will sail along the beautiful coastline of theProtected Marine Area of the Cinque Terre, between Portovenere and Riomaggiore, admiring the five characteristic villages of eastern Liguria.
We will stop in three areas characterised by an important biodiversity, where we will be able to dive and observe the life teeming on the seabed using the mask and instruments we will be given.
We will have fun recognising the fish we encounter, thanks to the pre-printed floating charts with photos and information provided by the skipper. We will be direct participants in monitoring the state of biodiversity in the Cinque Terre, keeping an eye on the presence of alien organisms and the quantity of local species.
We will also have the opportunity to swim in a freshwater waterfall on a beach in the area, a truly impressive natural phenomenon.
We will return to the port of Manarola after about 3 hours of touring.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at everyone from the age of 2 years. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. It is not necessary to know how to swim, but you must be comfortable in the water.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible, but is accessible for those with walking difficulties.
Other information
The excursion takes place from April to October.
Theboat is called Obelix, a 9-metre gozzo with a shower, cushions, 12 seats in the cabin and a fridge to keep drinks cool. However, it does not have a bathroom, so it is advisable to go to the toilet before embarking.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
