If there is nothing interesting to see near your home, the story changes in the Bay of Paraggi .
Known as one of the best places to snorkel in Liguria, this place will captivate you with its variety of species, of which you will get to know in the company of a guide specialised in marine biology during a1-hour excursion.
All you will need is a mask, snorkel and flippers. But hey, now that we think about it... those are included too!
What we will do
The appointment is 30 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Portofino (GE). Awaiting us will be the guide who will accompany us on our snorkelling excursion.
Before we dive in, the guide will explain some safety procedures and show us pictures of the species we will spot during the tour. We will then be ready to enter the water directly from the beach.
The excursion will take place in the Bay of Paraggi, an area of the Portofino Marine Protected Area interdicted to nautical traffic, which is ideal for safe and quiet activities.
Once immersed, we will discover seabeds extremely rich in marine fauna and flora. In particular, we will swim among shoals of bream, sea bream, sea bass and moray eels above a vast Posidonia prairie which, together with the nearby reef, is home to a large number of octopuses, starfish, sponges and molluscs.
The experience will end with a return to the meeting point and will last about 1 hour in total .
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from the age of 10; children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult during the activity.
Swimming skills are required to participate in the activity.
Other information
The experience takes place from May to September depending on weather and sea conditions.
There is a limited number of parking spaces on site, so we recommend reaching the meeting point by public transport or on foot/by bicycle.
On site there are changing rooms, showers and lockers to leave your personal belongings in.
Any accompanying persons can wait on the beach adjacent to the meeting point.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
