Full description
Have you ever tried kitesurfing in the snow?
Yes, it really exists and is called snowkiting. This winter sport is practised with skis or a snowboard on your feet, letting yourself be pulled along by a sail. You will be taught by a qualified instructor, ready to provide you with support and advice during the 5-hour lesson.
You will learn theory and practice in the snowy setting of Madesimo. Until you too fall in love with this discipline!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at 09:00 at the meeting point in Madesimo (LC). To welcome you there will be me, your kite instructor!
Once your equipment has been checked, a briefing and delivery of thesnowkite equipment (ski equipment available for hire) will take place.
It is then that the actual snowkite course can begin, in the snowy scenery of the Spluga Pass. It will be composed as follows: a 2-hour theory part during which you will learn how to fly the kite, how to sail safely, how the precedence works and other useful information; a 3-hour practice part during which you will have the opportunity to demonstrate what you have learnt by riding on the flat or while I will give you support and advice through the transceiver. The course will last 5 hours, which will be completed in one day.
We will then return to the meeting point. The experience will last approximately 6 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 10; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or have a signed release form.
A minimum of skiing and snowboarding experience is required; one must have practised one of these two disciplines at least a couple of times. This is because the mountain guide is also a ski instructor and can support the participant during the experience.
Other information
The experience takes place from December to March.
There is parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
If you would like to practice theactivity on skis, equipment hire is available at a cost of €20.00 to be paid on site; please contact the instructor at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail, stating the equipment required, height and weight well in advance. If you wish tosnowboard , you must bring your own equipment.
An alternative meeting point is available in Colico: in this case a transfer with the instructor to Madesimo will be organised, fuel not included and to be paid locally. Please contact the instructor at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to forward your request.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 0 days from the activity start date. Within 0 and 0 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
