Snowmobile tour in Val Troncea with aperitif under the stars

You know the aperitif at the bar? Here, forget it. Here you arrive by snowmobile, park among the snow-covered trees and toast under a sky full of stars, with the scent of the forest and the silence of the snow all around.

A stone's throw from Sestriere, in Val Troncea, an experience that mixes adventure and magic awaits you: a 1-hour snowmobile tour through snow-covered landscapes followed by an aperitif in the woods with platters of Piedmontese cold cuts and cheeses, mountain bread and red wine served amidst snowflakes and little lights.

A toast like that? The bar can only dream of it.

What we will do

We’ll meet at 6. 30 pm in Pragelato (TO), on the edge of the Val Troncea Nature Park. After a welcome, we’ll have a briefing of about 15 minutes on how the snowmobile works and the key safety rules.

At 6. 30 pm, we’ll set off! We’ll climb aboard our Yamaha Nytro 1000cc (135 CV) or Yamaha Venture 500cc (90 CV) snowmobiles, ready for a thrilling ride through the snow-covered woods. Accompanied by expert guides, we’ll speed along the slopes of Pragelato and Sestriere, taking in the most picturesque spots in the Val Troncea.

The headlights illuminating the snow, the tracks gripping the ground… We’ll venture deep into the trees, in an otherworldly silence broken only by the roar of the engines. Along the way, there’ll be plenty of stops to admire the snow-covered valley, snap a few souvenir photos or, for those who wish, swap places with the passenger.

About two-thirds of the way through the journey, we’ll stop in a clearing lit by torches and small, warm lights. Here, everything will be ready for an aperitif in the woods (included). We’ll settle down on bales of hay, surrounded by trees, whilst the guides serve salami, cheese, bread, sweet treats and a glass of wine or a hot drink.

After the break, we’ll set off again on snowmobiles for the final stretch back to the starting point, with the moon lighting our way. Including the briefing, the snowmobile ride and the aperitif, the experience will last about an hour and a half in total.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone over the age of 5. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or participating adult.

Children from 5 to 10 years of age can only participate as a third passenger by getting on the snowmobile seated between the two adults.

To drive the snowmobile, one must be of legal age. A driving licence is not required.

Other information

The activity runs from December to April and is confirmed once a minimum of two snowmobiles is available.

Each snowmobile can carry one driver and one passenger (with the option to take turns at the wheel) . The centre has 6 snowmobiles, accommodating a maximum of 12 participants.
