If 'The Goonies' is your favourite film and you struggle to keep your curiosity in check, thisadventure in the caves of the Monti Simbruini Park is for you! Come to the province of Rome, put on your helmet and wetsuit and transform yourself into an experienced explorer for 3 hours.
The caves of this park are home to stalactites, stalagmites and many minerals to discover. During the activity you will crawl, climb and explore the surrounding scenery together with an environmental excursion guide specialised in speleology.
You will ask all the questions you want and learn many new facts about this world!
What we will do
We will meet 30 minutes in advance in Subiaco (RM), where an environmental excursion guide specialised in speleology will be waiting for us. Once we have put our valuables in a storage room, we will get into an off-road vehicle (included) and reach the activity site in about 20 minutes. Before entering the caves we will put on the necessarytechnical equipment and have a briefing of about 15 minutes during which the details of the experience will be explained to us.
The location is the Monti Simbruini Park and, at that time, we will be surrounded by its enchanting nature, characterised by rich vegetation that we will be able to admire while the guide will tell us some brief anecdotes about the history of the area.
Ready for our adventure, we will enter the caves where we will be enveloped in darkness. We will light up the surrounding area with our torches and begin our exploration. We will admire stalactites and stalagmites and walk through narrow passages, lakes and tunnels feeling like real Indiana Jones. We will always be accompanied by an experienced environmental hiking guide who will guide us to discover the secrets of these caves.
After about 1.5 hours of activity, we will head out into the open air and return to the starting point by 4WD (included) in about 10 minutes.
The activity, including briefing and off-road driving, lasts a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 10. Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 may participate subject to signing a release form from a responsible adult.
Pleasenote: the experience is not suitable for those who suffer from claustrophobia because there are bottlenecks, corridors and small rooms in the cave. In addition, there are some rope descents. The highest is 3 metres, but this is not obligatory.
Each participant should contact the facility at the contact details they will receive in their booking confirmation e-mail to communicate their height and weight in anticipation of the experience (the information will be useful for the allocation of the coveralls). The maximum weight allowed to participate is 120 kg.

The activity takes place every day from the beginning of June to the end of September and is confirmed when a minimum of four participants are reached.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport. Free parking spaces are available in the vicinity. Travel to and from the venue will be by all-terrain vehicle and is included in the fee.
Storage facilities for small valuables such as mobile phones and wallets are available at the facility.
Any accompanying persons can wait at the facility, where dogs are allowed and a dogsitting service is also offered: contact the facility well in advance at the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation e-mail to take advantage of this service.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
