Sea or mountains? In Sicily the answer seems obvious, but we want to surprise you!
Discover the Sicilian mountains with a stay in a refuge in Piano Battaglia: one night for two in a private room, including dinner and breakfast.
Experience the adventure of a guided e-bike tour in the Madonie Park and taste the local flavours with a lunch at the end of the excursion. Mountain it is!
What we will do
Check-in is from 4 p. m. at the refuge at Piano Battaglia in Petralia Sottana (PA), over 1, 500 metres above sea level.
You will stay in a double room equipped with private bathroom with WC, sink and shower, heating, linen, towels, duvets, soaps and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is spread over several levels and offers rooms between 9 and 12 m², with double or single beds.
On the evening of your stay, dinner is included: a 3-course menu consisting of a starter, a main course and a dessert, with a choice from the menu. Drinks, with the exception of water, are not included and are payable locally.
The following morning you will start your day with an Italian breakfast included, including cakes, croissants, fruit and hot coffee, in an authentic mountain hut atmosphere.
The e-bike excursion will start directly from the refuge, at 9: 00 a. m. (on the day of arrival or departure, depending on availability agreed with the guide) . You will be given pedal-assisted bikes, a helmet and everything you need to tackle an 18 km route with 620 m of altitude difference. You will cycle in the company of a certified guide, crossing beech, maple and holly woods along the paths that connect Piano Battaglia, Portella Colla and the wide basin of Piano Cervi.
After reaching the small lake of Mandria del Conte and the Giumenta valley, you will return to Piano Battaglia where a typical lunch awaits you in a refuge: a platter of cold cuts and cheeses, a Madonie first course, two glasses of wine, water and Madonie pastry. The e-bike tour will be conducted exclusively for you and will last two and a half hours.
Check-out is expected by 10. 30 a. m.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is intended for 2 persons over 18 years of age.
The minimum height required for the e-bike tour is 1. 40 m.
The level of commitment required is medium, so minimum training is recommended.
Other information
The experience is available from March to early November. Check-in is from 16: 00, check-out by 10: 00.

Dogs are allowed with an extra charge of 10€, with the possibility of leaving them in the room or requesting a dog sitting service (for a fee) .
The hotel cannot be reached by public transport, but free parking is available on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
The experiences included in the stay plus experience packages are subject to weather conditions. If the experience cannot take place due to bad weather or other causes of force majeure, you can choose between a refund for the experience that did not take place or rescheduling the activity for another date (if available). However, the stay cannot be refunded or rescheduled if the terms of the package cancellation policy have already expired.
Can I change the date selected for my stay?
