Full description
Discover the charm of aboat excursion at the most romantic time of day, sunset. Set off from San Vito Lo Capo and sail down the coast to admire the coastline with its coves, white pebble beaches smoothed by the sea and sheer cliffs such as the Falesia di Macari.
Just as the sky turns red, orange and pink, you will arrive at the bay of Santa Margherita, where you will experience the thrill of a dip as the sun sets on the horizon.
After your swim, you will return on board to enjoy an aperitif overlooking the sea with typical Sicilian products. Get ready for this magic!
What we will do
We will meet at 19:30 in San Vito Lo Capo, where our boat will be waiting for us. After boarding, the captain will start the navigation, accompanying it with information and friendly tales of the area.
The boat will sail below the coast to allow us to better appreciate the beauty of the coastline at a magical time. We will witness the moment when the sun sets behind the horizon line and colours the sky yellow, orange, purple and pink. The sunsets in this corner of Sicily are characterised by a veritable kaleidoscope of colours and make this moment of the day truly unique.
We will be able to admire the Falesia di Macari, a striking rock face overhanging the sea. We will then continue towards the Gulf of Macari, encountering along the way pebble coves, rocks emerging from the water, and inlets such as Cala Rosa, Isulidda and Bue Marino.
We will stop at the beautiful Santa Margherita Bay, where we will experience the thrill of a sunset swim, an experience to be immortalised with photos and video memories.
Back on board, we will enjoy a delicious aperitif overlooking the sea. We will taste a range of typical Sicilian products, including pane cunzato, seasoned olives, primosale cheese, wine and water.
We will then continue on to San Vito Lo Capo, where we will return around 10pm. The tour will last about two and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The excursion is open to everyone, with no age limit.
Children up to 1 year of age must be held during the excursion and can participate free of charge, while children aged 1 to 2 years must pay an insurance fee of €5 on site.
The boat is wheelchair accessible. Please contact the organisers at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email for assistance with boarding.
Other information
The excursion is available from May to October, on Fridays and Sundays, and is confirmed with a minimum number of 10 participants.
Theitinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions. The captain will decide on the most suitable route to follow, guaranteeing the safety of the guests on board and a peaceful and pleasant sailing experience.
The boat intended for the excursion has been christened Chicca and is a12-metre motor boat. On board there are all the comforts for comfortable and pleasant sailing. Sunbathers have at their disposal the sun deck with cushions on the roof and a large sundeck at the bow. Not only that, the boat is also equipped with an awning, a freshwater shower, a toilet and a stereo for listening to good music during the excursion. Snorkelling kits, life jackets, and swim aids are provided for those who wish to do so. The maximum capacity of the boat is 22 passengers and 2 crew members.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
The staff has no way of making changes to the aperitif menu in case of food intolerances and allergies, but you are allowed to bring your own food on board.
