Full description
A unique and privileged viewpoint over one of Sicily's most famous and spectacular seaside resorts, Taormina, which, with its crystal-clear sea and Greco-Roman amphitheatre, will be a true wonder to behold from the heights of the paraglider.
Flying tandem with a professional pilot certified by theAero Club d'Italia, you will carry out the activity in the utmost comfort and safety and all you have to do is enjoy the panorama, the excitement and the wonderful feeling of lightness and freedom.
Paragliding is closely linked to weather conditions. Depending on the currents of the day, the pilot will choose the flight area, which may be Taormina, its surroundings, or other beautiful coastal locations in the province of Messina.
What we will do
We will meet in Messina or near the location chosen for the flight. The day before the activity, after consulting the latest weather report, the pilot will contact us to give us theaddress of the meeting point and to confirm the time (which may vary from the time we have chosen, depending on the weather).
Once the necessary introductions have been made, we will travel to the take-off point on the high ground in the 4x4 vehicles provided by the organisation. We will carry out a briefing on the rules of behaviour for flying in comfort and safety and, having prepared our equipment, we will be ready to fly. Firmly harnessed to the pilot, it will only take a few steps downhill to take flight. Not even time to notice and we will find ourselves in the air lulled by the gentle movement of the thermal updrafts.
The flight will last from a minimum of 20 minutes to a maximum of 40, if the winds are particularly favourable. Thelanding usually coincides with the initial rendezvous point. Otherwise, we will be accompanied by the guides.
The possible flight areas are: Taormina, Letojanni, Milazzo, Gioiosa Guardia, Capo Calavà and Piraino.
Between transfers, preparation and flight, the total duration of the activity ranges from 2 to 3 hours, depending on the chosen flight area.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level; no specific experience or skills are required. Anyone in good health and between the ages of 7 and 70 can fly. Pregnant women, people suffering from epilepsy and people with spinal or lower limb prostheses are not allowed to participate.

Attention! Please arrive at the meeting point approximately 15 minutes before the agreed time.
The activity can take place all year round if the weather conditions are favourable.
Important: on the day before the agreed date, contact the pilot via Whatsapp to ask for confirmation of the flight andtime (you will receive his contact details after booking). Together with the confirmation, you will also be informed of the chosen flight area.
You can also request a shuttle service directly from your residence (round trip) at a price of 20€ per person (payable locally).
For the extra price of 50€, a professional hd video with double shooting, editing and editing can be included in the experience.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
