There is a rebellious soul in Tuscan wine. And it is called SuperTuscan.
Join us for a tasting experience at the Terre del Marchesato winery in Bolgheri. After a walk through the rows of vines and a visit to the cellar to explore the secrets of winemaking, you will taste four single-varietal SuperTuscans: wines that tell the story of Tuscan tradition... with a touch of challenge.
If you want to discover the bolder and more refined side of Bolgheri, this is an experience not to be missed.
What we will do
The appointment is at the time chosen at the time of booking at the Terre del Marchesato winery, in the heart of Bolgheri.
On arrival, we will immediately immerse ourselves in the beauty of the vineyards with a walk through the rows of vines, where in about 10 minutes we will discover the winery and the deep connection with this territory.
Next, we will move inside for a visit to the cellar, where we will be told about the winemaking methods that make the wines so special. The visit will also last about 10 minutes.
Finally, the highlight of the experience: an exclusive tasting of 4 single-varietal SuperTuscan wines, accompanied by bruschetta with home-produced extra virgin olive oil.
We will taste
- Tarabuso: selection of pure Cabernet Sauvignon;
- Franchesato: selection of pure Cabernet Franc;
- Aldone: selection of pure Merlot;
- Maurizio Fuselli: selection of Petit Verdot in purity.
The total duration of the activity is approximately 1 hour and a quarter to 1.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The wine-tasting experience is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. Minors or any adults not tasting wine may participate in the experience by paying the €10 fee.
The experience is wheelchair accessible.
Other information
The activity takes place all year round, with the exception of 25 December and 1 January.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport, only by car.
Dogs are allowed, as long as they are used to being in public. They may accompany you during the vineyard visit and tasting, but not during the winery visit for hygienic reasons.
In the case of coeliac disease, gluten-free breadsticks will be served instead of bruschetta.
