If your plan for the day is to sip excellent wine in good company, you've come to the right place!
Visit the Mario Costa wine cellar in the province of Cuneo, discover the production processes of this fourth-generation family business and taste five local wines .
An exclusive wine experience of anhour and a half in the heart of the Roero!
What we will do
The appointment is at theMario Costa Winery in Canale (CN).
Your experience will begin with a private guided tour of the winery, lasting approximately 30-40 minutes. You will discover the winemaking processes by visiting the crushing and fermentation areas, those dedicated to ageing in steel and the barrique cellar.
The owners will tell you about the history of this family business, founded in 1952 by Giuseppe Costa and Giuseppina Pelassa and today proudly led by Giuseppe and Luca Costa.
At the end of the visit, you will be seated in an evocative underground tasting room for a full immersion in the flavours of the Roero. You will taste five of the winery's most representative wines, including:
- Roero Arneis DOCG
- Roero Arneis DOCG Miladui
- Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore S-ciass
- Langhe DOC Nebbiolo
- Roero DOCG Batistin
Each wine will be accompanied by an explanation of its characteristics and paired with typical Roero cheeses and cured meats.
The activity will last approximately oneand a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Minors may participate in the experience free of charge: contact the winery to inform them of their presence after the booking confirmation.
The winery is wheelchair and pushchair accessible.
Other information
The experience can be booked all year round and is reserved for private groups of up to 14 participants.
If you have any food allergies and/or intolerances, please contact the winery at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to let them know.
If you wish, you can request to visit the vineyards in the hills (optional), which can be reached in a few minutes in a 4X4 vehicle. There is no additional cost for this visit, but you must contact the winery in advance to arrange it. When visiting the vineyards, comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended .
The winery can be reached by public transport. Free parking is available on site.
Dogs of all sizes are allowed.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
