A tasting of four shades of red. .. or rather, of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC!
Visit the Torre Raone estate in the medieval village of Loreto Aprutino, walk among the rows of vines on the hills with a guide, and continue to the winery to discover all the secrets of organic wine-making.
A sensory experience to get to know Abruzzo's most important grape variety sip by sip!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the Torre Raone Estate in Loreto Aprutino (PE) in the Terre dei Vestini wine zone. We will be welcomed by our guide, who will drive us to the highest point of the estate, located at the foot of the historic 6th-century Torre Raone tower .
From this vantage point we will enjoy a view of the company's vineyards, which comprise 30 hectares of certified organic cultivation since 1997. Here our guide will tell us about the historical vocation of this extraordinary place and its role in defining the regional oenological identity, as we stroll through the rows.
During the harvest period (August-October) , we will even have the opportunity to pick the grapes and directly observe their processing, transforming the experience from a visit to real participation in the production cycle.
Afterwards, we will return to the winery, where the different stages of vinification will be explained to us. We will observe how the organic grapes grown on the farm are transformed into wine through different ageing methods (steel, wood, barrique, amphora and cement) .
At the end of the visit (lasting about 45 minutes) , the tasting will then take place. We will be served 4 wines made from Montepulciano D'Abruzzo grapes:
- Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC
- Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC
- Montepulciano d'Aburzzo DoC Riserva
- San Zopito Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC "Terre dei Vestini".
The experience will last approximately 2 and a half hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 years and over. The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying minors and people with astemia can participate in the experience as 'chaperones' free of charge.
The experience is accessible by wheelchair or pushchair with the exception of the walk in the vineyard, for which it is still possible to arrive at the observation point by car and where the guide will explain: contact the winery at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to better organise your visit.

The activity takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Dogs are allowed during the visit.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
