Every good story deserves to be told over a glass of wine and, without a doubt, that of Chianti Classico is one!
Come and discover the origins of this DOGC product with a guided tour of the winery atAzienda Agricola Terre di Perseto: you will explore the production rooms, delve into the winemaking process and unveil the secret of vin santo.
Anexperience of over 1.5 hours, in which you will taste no less than 4 glasses accompanied by local products!
What we will do
The appointment is 5 minutes before the time selected when booking at theAzienda Agricola Terre di Perseto in San Casciano in Val Pesa (FI). We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us on this visit to the winery with wine tasting in the beautiful hilly setting of Chianti Classico!
Once all the participants have gathered, we will be welcomed into the tasting room where the guide will give a short introduction on the history of the winery and illustrate the difference between Chianti and Chianti Classico, using the wines we will be tasting later as examples.
Weather permitting, we will proceed with a walk through the vineyards, before visiting the winery where we will discover the magic of the winemaking process: we will explore the barrel cellar and even learn how vin santo is made! This will last around 25 minutes.
We will then return to the tasting room to learn more about the characteristics of each wine we will be served, including the best pairings. We will taste 4 glasses of wine (2 IGT Toscana and 2 Chianti Classico DOCG Annata and Riserva) accompanied by a selection of 2 locally produced Tuscan pecorino cheeses, marinated organic vegetables and dry baked goods.
The experience will last a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.
The wine tasting is reserved for participants aged 18 and over. Accompanying persons aged 18 and over who do not participate in the wine tasting (abstemious persons and/or pregnant women) pay the same fee and will be served accompanying food with water. Accompanying persons aged 0-17 years participate free of charge: please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to indicate their attendance.
The winecellar and tasting room are wheelchair-accessible; the vineyard is not wheelchair-accessible.

Attention! In the event of bad weather on the same or previous days, the experience will take place entirely indoors, excluding the vineyard walk.
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund!
