Full description
Do you know what you and the animals at Tenuta di Paganico have in common? You’re both lovers of the great outdoors!
Here, amongst the scrubland of the Tuscan Maremma, it’s not just a simple visit that awaits you, but a proper walk through the woods to get up close to the estate’s cattle , reared in the wild. A unique opportunity to discover how top-quality organic produce is made and to experience a moment of pure freedom far from the tarmac.
And to round it all off in style? A generous tasting of home-produced meats and cured meats, fresh vegetables from the garden and a lovely glass of local wine!
What we will do
The meeting point is at 11. 00 am at the Tenuta di Paganico in Civitella Paganico, in the province of Grosseto, set against the backdrop of the Tuscan Maremma. We will be welcomed by our guide, who will introduce us to the estate’s philosophy – a story of passion now in its third generation.
We’ll begin our experience with a walk through the estate’s stunning woodland, an unspoilt area covering a full 1, 000 hectares. Here, we’ll observe the Maremmana cattle, which live in complete freedom in the wild all year round. During the walk, the guide will tell us all about organic farming and the deep respect for animal welfare that underpins the farm’s ethos.
At around 12. 30 pm, we’ll return to the estate’s restaurant , ready to awaken our senses at the table. We’ll take part in a delicious tasting featuring vegetables from the kitchen garden and a rich selection of products made from the estate’s own organic meat, including traditional Cinta Senese cured meats. This will be followed by a first course of handmade pasta with a seasonal sauce. The meal will be accompanied by one bottle of the estate’s own Montecucco DOC wine and water.
The experience will last approximately 3 hours in total.
