In the heart of Monferrato, a vertical tasting of three vintages of Barbera produced by the historic Cantine Merlone awaits you.
An experience that, in addition to the tasting, also includes a guided tour through the winemaking rooms and the ancient icebox, to discover all the secrets in the production of this wine (and more) !
What we will do
The appointment is at Cantine Merlone in Cossombrato, in the province of Asti, in the hilly setting of Monferrato. We will be welcomed by a guide ready to introduce us on a journey into the world of Barbera d'Asti.
We will begin with a brief welcome and an introduction to the history of the winery and the territory. We will then continue with a visit to the winemaking area, where the main stages of grape processing will be explained, from the initial processing to the fermentation of red and white wines.
We will then enter the historical ageing cellars, among barriques and tonneaux, and also discover the evocative and ancient ice cellar, linked to the tradition of the Metodo Classico Alta Langa.
Following this, we will take a seat in the tasting room or on the panoramic terrace for a vertical tasting of 3 vintages of Barbera d'Asti and Barbera d'Asti Superiore, accompanied by breadsticks, focaccia, cold meats and local cheeses.
The experience will last about 1½ hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 years and over. Wine tasting is reserved for adults only.
Any accompanying under-age persons may participate in the experience at a reduced rate based on consumption to be paid on site.
The facility is wheelchair-accessible with the exception of the ancient icebox.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 3 participants.
Dogs are allowed in the outdoor areas and the tasting room, while they are not allowed when visiting the indoor production areas.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport, although arrival by car is recommended.

If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
