Tasting of bulk and label wines with cellar visit in Faenza

Have you ever tasted a wine freshly ta pped from the barrel and then discovered its more refined version in the bottle?

Among the hills of Faenza, in the province of Ravenna, a 1.5-hour tasting experience combining authenticity and unique flavours awaits you. You will walk among the vineyards, visit the wine cellar and taste 6 wines in bulk and 2 on the label, accompanied by delicious local specialities: bread from Marradi, cold meats, cheeses, extra virgin olive oil and desserts.

What we will do

The appointment is at the time selected when booking at the Zinzani Vini winery, a few minutes from Faenza (RA). Here the host, Marco, will welcome us and tell us about the history of the company and the traditions that animate his work.

If the weather is on our side, we will take a walk through the rows of vines on the first hills of Faenza, breathing in the scents of nature and discovering the deep bond between the land and the quality of the grapes.

Back inside, we will visit the heart of production. During the visit to the cellar, Marco will guide us through vats, tanks and equipment, explaining the different stages of vinification. With his direct and down-to-earth style, he will unveil curiosities and technical details that will make the experience instructive but also entertaining.

And then the most eagerly awaited moment! We will taste 6 bulk wines straight from the barrel and 2 wines on the label, learning to recognise their aromas and characteristics. Accompanying everything will be tastings of Marradi bread, their fine extra-virgin olive oil, a selection of cured meats, sliced meats and local cheeses, and a sampling of desserts to end on a high note.

In winter the tasting will be held in an intimate and cosy room, while in summer we will toast outdoors, in the courtyard or among the barrels. The experience will last about 1½ hours in total.

Who it is aimed at

The wine tasting is reserved for participants aged 18 and over only. Any accompanying persons or persons under 18 years of age will be offered non-alcoholic drinks or water, in addition to the opportunity to taste local products.

The facility is accessible by wheelchair and/or pushchair.

Other information

The experience takes place all year round, except Sundays and holidays, and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
