They say sea air is good for everyone, but wait until you hear what it does to the wines of Cantina Valpanera!
In Fiumicello Villa Vicentina, in a handkerchief of land between Aquileia and the Grado lagoon where the vines 'breathe' saltiness, a tasting of 3 wines with local gastronomic accompaniment awaits you that will be a real treat for your palate.
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the Valpanera Winery in Fiumicello Villa Vicentina (UD), in the setting of a unique territory located between ancient Aquileia and the Grado lagoon.
We will be welcomed by a guide who will introduce us to the family's philosophy and the history of this winery, which was born out of a passion for enhancing the value of native vines.
The experience will begin with an in-depth look at the territory and the pedoclimatic characteristics that make the DOC Friuli Aquileia, IGT Trevenezie and IGT Venezia Giulia appellations unique. The guide will explain how the proximity of the sea and the composition of the soil influence the aromatic profile of the wines produced at the winery, with particular attention to the care and dedication put into each stage of production.
Afterwards, we will sit down for the actual tasting, which will take place in the cellar shop or around a majestic stone table in the dedicated room. Here we will taste three glasses of wine representative of Valpanera production, usually Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Malvasia and Ribolla Gialla Spumantizzata.
To enrich the tasting, we will be served a gastronomic accompaniment composed of typical local products, specially selected to create harmonious combinations, offering a complete taste of Friuli's traditions.
The experience will last about 1 hour in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 year olds and above. The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying under-age persons may participate in the experience free of charge and will be offered a non-alcoholic alternative.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
