Full description

Walking suspended between history and adventure. .. you can!

Just come to the Val Brembana, to the magnificent village of Dossena: you can experience the thrill of crossing the longest Tibetan bridge in the world and visit the ancient mines there.

Put on your explorer's hat, ignite your curiosity and follow us!

What we will do

We will meet at the meeting point in Dossena (BG), where we will park the car and follow the signs indicating the path to be followed. After a walk of about 1 km (25 minutes) , we will reach the starting point of the Ponte nel Sole, the longest Tibetan bridge in the world.

There, operators will be waiting for us and will hand over the necessary equipment (harness and carabiners) . After dressing, we will be ready to start crossing the bridge, which is 505 m long and 120 m high. On the structure, of which the only anchored parts are the start and finish, run 3. 5 km of steel ropes, along which we will move.

It will take us about 45 minutes to get to the other side of the bridge and we will return directly to the village, completing a loop route. We will walk suspended in the air between the magnificent mountains of the Val Brembana and glimpse the Orobic Alps, the peaks of the Grigna, Gioco and Alben mountains, and the San Pellegrino valley floor.

After the first part of the activity, we will head to the Dossena mines. First, we will visit the museum, where we will find objects and equipment that keep alive the memory of the mine and those who worked there. Then a guide will take us on a walk along natural caves and artificial galleries, following the old rails on which the carts used by the miners to transport the material once ran. Meanwhile, we will listen to the history of the facility.

It will be a unique experience, taking us back in time! Both activities will last one and a half hours, for a total duration of about 4 hours, including transfers.
