Full description
Do you really want to discover Chianti? Then leave Florence behind and jump in the saddle. With an e-bike under you and a digital route ready on your smartphone, just follow the track and enjoy the day.
You start at the Certosa in Florence and pedal through olive groves, vineyards and historic villas to the heart of Chianti Classico. The great thing is that you go at your own pace: you can stop for lunch at a farm, visit the hamlet of Machiavelli or simply stand at the best vantage point for a spectacular photo.
A whole day of real Tuscany, with the freedom of e-bike rental and the convenience of a digital itinerary always at hand!
What we will do
The appointment is at 10:00 a.m. in Florence for check-in. Here we will receive e-bike, helmet, water bottle, basic kit and the offline map to follow on the phone. After a short briefing we will be ready to go.
Passing through small country lanes we will quickly leave Florence, with splendid views of the city and the surrounding noble hills, rich in villas and farms. We will stop at the Certosa di Firenze, an ancient 14th-century monastery near Galluzzo, to breathe in a little history.
We will then continue towards the heart of the Chianti Classico region, among vineyards and olive groves as far as the eye can see. Here we will stop for lunch (not included) in a 15th-century farmhouse-restaurant, considered the oldest in Tuscany. We can choose between a picnic in the vineyard, a traditional sandwich with fresh produce or a full lunch in the restaurant.
The village itself houses the Machiavelli Museumand perfectly preserved underground cellars: a unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in the Renaissance atmosphere and discover the places where the famous philosopher lived during his exile.
On the return trip, we can choose two variants: a longer route that passes through San Casciano, giving us more postcard views, or a simpler return with the option of adding Piazzale Michelangelo and San Miniato al Monte for the most iconic view of Florence.
The tour lasts about 6 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is of an easy level and is intended for everyone, from 14 years of age and upwards, with aminimum height of 150 cm. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
Ability to ride a bicycle is necessary.
Other information
The activity can be carried out every day from March to November.
The e-bikes supplied are equipped with a 150 W/h Bosch motor with front suspension. Bikes with full suspension are not available. No later than 2 days before the date of the activity it is mandatory to contact the guide to inform him/her of your weight and height, so that the most suitable e-bike can be assigned.
Important: upon signing the rental contract you may be asked to pay a deposit of up to €500, which will be returned to you at the end of the activity.
Pet trolleys are not available.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; pay parking spaces are available on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is last minute. You get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
