Full description
Let yourself be captivated by the beauty of Lake Piediluco and treat yourself to a pleasant half-day mountain bike excursion.
You will reach by shuttle bus the Upper Belvedere of the Marmore Falls, where the ride begins. You will then ride through the lush Umbrian countryside to the enchanting Piediluco Lake, dominated by Monte dell'Eco.
You will cycle along the verdant shores, admire the village reflected in the mirror of water and listen to the echo produced by the mountain rising from the waters. An ecological boat will also be waiting for you on the lake, on which you will board your mountain bike to cross the waters to the canal that feeds the waterfalls. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
We will meet at 10:00 a.m. near Arrone (TR), where our guide will give a short briefing on the route we are going to take.
Once we have been assigned our bikes (included), we will be ready to set off for the Upper Belvedere of the Marmore Falls, from where the canal leads to Lake Piediluco. We will reach the belvedere by shuttle bus and, once there, we will get ready to climb into the saddle.
Pedalling through the unspoilt Umbrian countryside, we will reach the shores of the lake, with its placid waters surrounded by mountains that mirror the beautiful medieval village of Piediluco with its fortress.
We will not be the only sportsmen to frequent the lake, as its waters are always ploughed by the rowers of the nearby national rowing centre. All we need to do is sit in silence for a few minutes and we will even be able to hear the words that the rowers exchange thanks to Monte dell'Eco. From the waters of the lake, in fact, rises a cone-shaped mountain that owes its name to an exceptional natural echo phenomenon.
On the shores of the lake, the eco boat will then be waiting for us, taking us to the canal that feeds the Marmore Falls. We will get on board with our bikes and enjoy the crossing of the lake. Once off the boat, we will return to our starting point after about four hours of hiking.

The excursion is scheduled from March to October every day.
If you are a keen cyclist, you can participate in this experience by bringing your own bike and enjoying a reduced rate that excludes bike hire.

The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
