One-day boat tour of Ischia with lunch

Set sail to discover Ischia on a full-day boat tour and admire the views from the sea that make this island world-famous.

During the excursion, there are several swimming stops in some of Ischia's most exclusive coves, such as Baia di Sant'Angelo and Spiaggia degli Inglesi. You will be able to swim to the Grotta Verde to be enchanted by its colours and enjoy a lunch prepared on board with Ischian specialities.

There will also be music, fun, and relaxation, for a simply unforgettable day at sea.

What we will do

We will meet at the port of Forio di Ischia at 9:30 am . We will take roll call and board our boat, where a cup of real Neapolitan coffee awaits us.

After settling in, we will set sail along the western side of the island. If the sea is calm, we will stop at the Bay of Citara to enjoy some tasty bruschetta with Ischian tomato and basil on board.

Once the gastronomic break is over, we will set off again, passing by the Bay of Scannella with its extraordinary natural pools and the Bay of Sorgeto with its thermal waters that can reach a temperature of 40 degrees.

We will then reach the exclusive Bay of Sant'Angelo, not far from the seaside village of the same name with its small houses climbing up the mountain. After a dip in the blue water of the bay, we will re-board and resume sailing past the thermal beach of Baia dei Maronti.

The next stop will be the Bay of San Pancrazio with its Green Grotto. Those who feel up to it will be able to dive off the boat and swim to the beautiful cave. Once inside, we will witness the characteristic light phenomenon that turns the water a wonderful emerald green.

After the dive we will return to the boat to have lunch together. Lunch prepared on board will be based on fish and typical Campanian products, accompanied by wine and drinks: a true triumph of goodness.

After lunch, we will depart for the Spiaggia degli Inglesi, passing by the Bay of Cartaromana and Ischia Porto. Here we will make a cheerful stop with music on board, fresh fruit, prosecco, limoncello and a typical rocket-based liqueur called rucolino.

Depending on the time available, we can either take a last swim at the beach of San Francesco or resume sailing back to the port of Forio at around 17:00.

The excursion has a total duration of 7 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The excursion is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children under 3 years of age do not pay.

The boat is not wheelchair-accessible.

Other information

The activity is available from May to November, weather permitting, and is confirmed with a minimum number of 10 participants.

Two boats are used for the excursion, both with a capacity of 40 passengers (depending on availability):

• 20 m longboat Alcione , equipped with a covered upper deck with sofas and poufs and a lower deck with benches and a large table, as well as toilets;
• 20 m long and 5.20 m wideboat Marlin 1, equipped with a sundeck, toilets and shower.

There are about ten snorkelling masks on board, as well as the obligatory safety equipment.

Dogs are not allowed.
