It may not be the Titanic, but the Pomonte Wreck has its charms.
You can see this ship that sank off theisland of Elba in 1972 during a snorkelling stop on our boat tour! Not only will you spot this scenic attraction, but you'll also spot the island's main natural sights, from the Blue Grotto to Seccheto Beach.
A 3-hour experience, exploring the Island of Elba by sea.
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 30 minutes before 15:30 at the meeting point in Marina di Campo (LI). I am your captain and I will welcome you on board my motor boat, ready to take you on an exploration of theIsland of Elba!
Once we have finished boarding all the passengers, we will be ready to set sail to discover the main natural attractions in the surrounding area. We will approach the Grotta Azzurra by boat, which you will be able to visit during a swimming stop. We will then reach the scenic Pomonte Wreck, a ship that sank just twelve metres below the surface of the water in 1972: you will be able to spot it during a snorkelling stop, using the masks provided on board!
We will continue sailing, sighting the Grotta del Vescovo (Bishop's Cave), Cavoli, Seccheto and Fetovaia , where we will not miss a final stop for a swim (because two doesn't equal three).
We will finally arrive at the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged 0-4 years participate free of charge; please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to indicate their presence.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible; people with reduced mobility are welcome and can contact the organiser at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to request boarding support.
Other information
The experience takes place from June to September and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 15 participants.
The excursion takes place subject to weather and sea conditions at the organiser's discretion.
No parking spaces are available near the harbour; parking at the beginning of the village is recommended. The meeting point is easily accessible by public transport.
Theboat is a 16-metre long motor boat with a canopy and toilet.
A maximum of 2 small dogs are allowed on board; please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to request that you bring your four-legged friend with you.
